The LSI Logic Controller Card 05-25703-00 9305-16i 16-Port SAS 12Gbs PCI-Express 3.0 Host Bus Adapter Single Pack is a server card that is designed to be in a server case as it is intended to have air moving across the heatsink. Its SFF-8643 connectors take up less space on the controller card and can handle multiple drives. The card supports RAID and NON-RAID drives and is PCIe x8 3.0. It is also compatible with Linux and exceptionally fast. However, the BIOS ROM may delete the first 512 bytes of data on all connected drives. But overall, it is a perfect HBA for home NAS servers and comes highly recommended.
