Northern Brewer's Gigawort Electric Boil Kettle is a four-gallon kettle designed for home brewing. It does a great job of achieving and maintaining a boil for extract kits, thanks to its double-walled Construction that helps with heat retention. The kettle comes with a cord and plug and requires about 1600 watts or around 14amperes. The power cord measures between four and five feet. The brew kettle does not separate from the heating bottom, but it's super easy to use and has made brewing day much better. Customer Experience and Reception: Customers have had mixed experiences with the Northern Brewer Gigawort. Some have praised the ease of setup and use, while others have reported challenges with temperature control. One reviewer was disappointed by the temperature inConsistency that caused the mash temperature to drift down till it hit about 146 or so before heating back up into the mid to upper 160s, turning off the heater and cooling gradually.
