The Hi-Lift Jack Gear Box has received mixed reviews from customers. The box is relatively small and can only accommodate a few items such as straps and D-rings. A lock is recommended for securing it from thieves when out on the trail. However, the gear box is well-Constructed using thick plastic and is durable. Another customer found it easy to use and appreciated the perfect fit of the box. They even added a hydrophobic sealant to make it waterproof. One downside to the hood mount set up is that visibility is reduced slightly. However, some felt-like cloth can be added to raise the box about 6 mm to spread the weight of the jack off the mounts. Another customer review was in Spanish, simply praising the item as excellent and easy to use.
