Drama Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of "File on Thelma Jordon" (Blu-ray)** "File on Thelma Jordon," directed by Robert Siodmak, is a commendable entry in the film noir genre, showcasing the director's mastery in crafting complex, character-driven narratives. The film features a powerful performance from Barbara Stanwyck, cementing her reputation as a formidable figure in the genre. She is supported by Wendell Corey, whose role complements her strong portrayal, even if their on-screen chemistry might not resonate with every viewer. Critics laud the film for its intricate plot and the depth of its supporting characters, making each scene a captivating exploration of morality and human nature. The trial scenes are especially impactful, with Siodmak utilizing his skillful direction to create dramatic tension, engaging audiences in the unfolding courtroom drama. While the film excels in visual storytelling and character development, some viewers have noted issues with the sound quality, which detracts from the overall experience. Nevertheless, the darker contrasts offered in the Blu-ray version enhance its cinematic appeal, making it an attractive choice for noir enthusiasts. In summary, "File on Thelma Jordon" is celebrated for its strong performances, particularly by Stanwyck, and its gripping narrative. Although it has minor audio issues, the film is praised for its direction and complex characters, making it a worthy addition to any classic film collection. **
