SUNLEE Relays Editorial Review
The Sunlee Controls 2 Pole 40 AMP 30 AMP contactor is a replacement relay suitable for air conditioner, heat pump, and refrigeration systems. One customer stated that it can also be used to relieve electrical stress from the Lutron Caséta CLARO switches. The relay is rated for 220 volts single phase, but the coil voltage is rated for 120 volts, therefore not suitable for 220 volts. Another customer reported that the relay buzzes excessively when active. Despite this, the relay performs its job, albeit noisily. One customer had to get three of these relays before finding one that worked effectively. The package includes unused/not required spade terminals that cannot be removed. The relay works well for some customers, with one stating that it saved them a lot of money in avoiding the purchase of a new air conditioner. The product is rated for continuous use, making it suitable for HVAC and refrigeration industries.
