The building set features fearsome dragon Jiro, who can be upgraded by adding golden blade wings and stud shooters from a flyer vehicle to take on the Empress's posable golden mech, who is wielding a large sword. The impressive playset includes 6 minifigures. Jay, Sora and Zane each come with 2 golden katanas to defeat the trio of Lord Ras with his hammer, Empress Beatrix with her Imperium sword and an Imperium Guard with a staff. There's also a yellow dragon power element for the characters to battle over, and boys and girls can collect 4 more in different colors and 4 golden dragon energy core elements in other NINJAGO sets.
