"A Darker Shade of Magic" by V. E. Schwab is an absolutely fantastic and fast-paced read. The story follows Kell, a traveler between different worlds, who is connected to each other through the city of London. The different Londons represent different versions of the city, each with their own unique characteristics and magical abilities. The book is filled with non-stop action and plot twists, making it difficult for the reader to catch their breath. Despite the fast pace, Schwab manages to develop well-rounded characters, including Kell, Lila, Rhy, and others. It is rare to find a novel that captivates readers and leaves them completely in love with the story and characters, but Schwab has achieved just that.
