What is the thinnest they will fit and do they stretch ( i would like to use them for art paintbrushes)?
Answer: They fit snugly onto a Faber Cattell pencil or aquarelle pencil. They are slightly loose but tolerable on a size 9 and the biggest is a size 12 which just fits if put on from the bristle end. The aperture is 7 to 8 mm and can stretch slightly. -

I get a dent in my middle finger as I grip the pen too hard to write. Does this make writing comfortable?
Answer: Yes, it would make holding your pen/pencil more comfortable and provide a better grip, reducing the need to hold it tight. It would help even if you don't have arthritis. -
